THE GOOD, THE BAD, & THE UGLY

Contemporary • November 29, 2020 • Shane Baker, Associate Minister

This year our sermon series is entitled Gospel Stories: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. This morning as we look at Matthew chapter 20, around the middle of the chapter, Jesus tells his disciples for the third time that he was about to die. The difference this time was that he was more specific in the details of how he would die, but also he shared with them that he would rise from the dead.

Contemporary • November 22, 2020 • Ken Gennicks, Senior Minister

“Gospel Stories: His Banner Over Me Is Love” (Mt. 22:21; Ps. 33:12-22; Song 2:4) Our Bible studies are from Gospel Stories: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Wednesday was Veterans’ Day, so in today’s Bible text Jesus says, Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s (Mt. 22:21). Understanding the times and knowing what to do, like a group in Old Testament (I Chron. 12:32), requires a thorough Christian worldview constructed and tempered by ongoing study. Today, Senior Minister Ken Gennicks shares about the significance of studying both our American history and our Biblical History.
