The Lord asks us is we have a contrite heart.

Ps 51:17 says,

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise."

Is 66:2 says,

"For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,”
Says the Lord.
“But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word."

Call no man a fool

Matthew 5:22

Matthew 5:22. We must not call others a fool, or foolish. This is something that Jesus said, and is a serious matter. All of us can read the Word of God and know what the Lord says and requires, we just need to be encouraged and discipline ourselves to learn.

Faith

Hebrews 11:6, Hebrews 11:1, 2 Corinthians 5:7

We need simple faith, faith that we can touch, feel and see, faith like potatoes. Hebrews 11:6. Uncle Angus heard this phrase from Peter Marshall, the Scottish preacher. It is by faith that we are saved, and it is by faith that we please the Lord. Hebrews 11:1. 2 Corinthians 5:7. Do we really trust Him?

Abide

John 15:7, Philippians 4:13

John 15:7. We need to abide in, and be in the presence of Almighty God, we cannot afford not to. Philippians 4:13. If we want to produce fruit, then we need to abide in the Vine. The best chapter of our lives is about to start as we abide in the Lord, we never need to think that our lives are over or that we are too old. Age is just a number. The best is yet to come. We need to put our hand up and say 'I am available Lord'.
