Matthew 5:48, Ephesians 2:8

Ephesians 2:8. Matthew 5:48. As believers we need to be fit, strong, and of good character. We need to crucify the flesh in our lives and fight the good fight, being an example to others because we are ambassadors of Christ. We need to work towards living a life that will bring glory to God.

The good farmer

Jeremiah 4:3, Matthew 13:7, Matthew 13:22

Jeremiah 4:3. We need to break up the hard ground in our hearts and make it fertile so that we are ready for the good seed. A lazy farmer takes shortcuts. A good farmer knows to prepare the land properly. Matthew 13:7, 22. We must not allow the cares of the world to strangle the good seeds planted there either. We must look after the Word of God planted there.

Turn

Matthew 3:8

When we turn to the Lord, we must not turn back to our old way of life. Matthew 3:8. We need to show the fruits worthy of repentance. There has got to be a change. We need to prove it by living a changed life because we are a new creation.
