Episode 358 • Angus Buchan
Patience is a hard lesson to learn - especially in this day and age of instant. Instant food, instant messages, instant everything. There is so much to be gained in slowing down and talking to each other, reading books and playing board games together. God can use us when we learn to wait. Wait on Him. Rest in Him. Isaiah 40:31 "But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint."
God loves you
Episode 356 • Angus Buchan
God loves you! He paid the ultimate price to show you how great His love is for you. John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends." Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Do the right thing
Episode 355 • Angus Buchan
Today Angus encourages us to obey the authorities that set the law in our land. Father God will bless us for it! We must act and live as law abiding followers of Jesus Christ. Romans 13:1-7 "Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. "Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves."
An excellent Spirit
Episode 354 • Angus Buchan
Daniel 6:3 "Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm." The Holy Spirit in us means that we carry an excellent Spirit. We are called to be consistent. Full of God's love and grace towards others.

Episode 353 • Angus Buchan
Your personal testimony is more powerful than you realize! People want to know how knowing Jesus has changed your life. John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:14 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."
Do what you can
Episode 352 • Angus Buchan
God uses all kinds of people - ordinary and imperfect people. "There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" - Romans 8:1 1 Corinthians 12:28 "And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues."
Episode 349 • Angus Buchan
"Time is not a commodity that can be stored up for future use. It must be invested hour by hour or else it is gone forever." Matthew 4:18-22 "And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him. Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father, and follow"
Episode 351 • Angus Buchan
Restitution is the restoration of something lost or stolen to its proper owner. Luke 19:2-10 "Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.” Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Episode 350 • Angus Buchan
We must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus! He will never leave or forsake us. Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Psalm 34:19 "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all."
The death of an unbeliever
Episode 348 • Angus Buchan
Today Angus is speaking about a tough subject - the death of an unbeliever. The only way you can be saved is if you are born again. We need to tell people about the salvation offered through Jesus Christ. John 14:6 'Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."' Ezekiel 33:11 "Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’"
Episode 347 • Angus Buchan
Matthew 18:21-22 'Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."' Unforgiveness is like rust - it will eat you up. God wants us to forgive so that we can live free!
Episode 346 • Angus Buchan
When we are loved by God we are more able to love the people around us. Angus implores us to exercise genuine compassion toward others. Luke 15:20 “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him."
