Shine

Episode 1899

Isaiah 60:1–3

Isaiah 60:1-3. It's time for us to wake, stop sleeping and shine for the Lord. In the dark times we are living in, the light will shine even brighter. We reflect the glory of our Lord. Our purpose in life is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. You don't have to be a preacher to shine for Jesus, you can shine wherever you are.

No royal road

Matthew 26:40

There is no royal road, or easy way when it comes to walking this road with the Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 26:40. We need to spend time with Him in order to be strengthened. Time in prayer and worship and in the presence of God. Jesus promised that He would walk with us on the road to Heaven.

Expectation

Psalm 62:5

Psalm 62:5. Who are you expecting to show you the way in life? We need to get our direction from God alone. God will not fail us when we go to Him. Sometimes we don't hear Him because we are doing all the talking and not really listening. We need to go and find a quiet place, open our hearts and minds to Christ and listen.

Just receive

Isaiah 55:1, Matthew 7:7

Isaiah 55:1. Matthew 7:7. In the Kingdom of God, we need to learn to humble ourselves and accept the free gifts God offers us. We mustn't allow pride to prevent us from asking and receiving from God. Work hard, but when someone wants to give you a gift, you can receive it. Like little children would, we can just say thank you.
