Monday, March 8, 2021 - A Biblical Worldview Series: In Short Supply

March 8, 2021

Ones view of life’s shaped by worldview. The question is which worldview. This week I’ll share the 4 pillars of the Biblical worldview where all life’s viewed through the lens of an accurately defined biblical lens. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. With less than 30% of pastors believing in the authority of Scripture and only 2-3% of Millennials holding a biblical worldview, is it a wonder our nation’s so quickly departing from God and moral absolutes? At APN, we encourage pastors to preach, parents to teach, and children to embrace a true biblical worldview passionately impacting all areas for Christ from family to education, government to the arts, and from science to spending. After all, if Christians think and act like the world, why would anyone around us want what we have?

Don’t Be Deceived Series: False Prophets

March 18, 2024

Transcript: Reality shows like “America’s Got Talent” often include performers whose magic tricks can fool even the most observant people. Performers call it sleight of hand, but there is another “trick” we face spiritually -- the problem Jesus warned about regarding false prophets. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In Matthew 24:11, Jesus taught that “many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.” His words are certainly true in our time. The emphasis on “many” can be easily found in today’s ministries, where numerous examples can be found. But we must also be aware of more subtle deceptions that include any teaching that is inconsistent with the Word of God. To stay focused in our faith includes remaining accurate in how we understand and apply spiritual truth. When we make Scripture our standard, we can guard against the sleight of hand found by today’s false prophets. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Walking with God Series: The Genuine Walk

March 15, 2024

Transcript: This week we’ve considered the genuine Christian walk. How’s your walk? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Is your walk genuine and pleasing to God? Is it identifiable by both the world and the true Believers? Our walk should be with God, like Enoch. That’s  a personal walk. Our walk should be by faith not sight. That’s a purposeful walk where our focus is above faith. Our walk should be in the Spirit. That’s a powerful walk. Our walk should be in the light. That’s  a walk marked by holiness, obedient, living in the light of God’s Word, and reflecting Jesus who is the Light. The true Christian walk should be so contrasted to the darkness, so focused on the eternal that our fellowship with other true believers will be sweet and our love for other so strong the world will take note and want what we have. Does anyone want your walk? Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Walking with God Series: Walking in the Light

March 14, 2024

Transcript: Walking with God, by faith, and in the Spirit are all pleasing to God. In I John 1:7, the Bible also says to ‘walk in the light, as He is in the light. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. While walking in the light is a common metaphor in contemporary Christian culture meaning, acting correctly. The real meaning is much deeper. Because Jesus is the light of the world and light comes from God the Father of lights, light stands in sharp contrast to darkness and evil. To walk in the light means that we consider Jesus as the light, that He truly is our light and that if a true believe, we are to reflect His light by living holy lives in obedience to the Light of His Word. When we walk in this light, we’ll have fellowship one with another. Others, will see the light, and know we are of the light because we love one another. Are you walking in the light?
