Overcoming a Crisis of Faith with Hope in God

September 15, 2019

September 15, 2019 • Isaac Crockett, Dr. Gary Dull, Abigail Crockett

The beloved hymn, “It is Well with My Soul” has a verse that triumphantly proclaims:

Though Satan should buffet
Though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control-
That Christ hath regarded my helpless estate, and hath shed His own blood for my soul…”

In times of difficulty or doubt, where do you turn or to whom or what do you cling? If you’re a believer, you know the answer to this question-but sometimes it’s easier said than done.

Doubts and fear crop up in our minds and confusion sets in. We begin to question what we believe and why, and God seems far away-a distant, impersonal being who doesn’t understand or care about what we’re going through.

On this Stand in the Gap Weekend program, we’re going to hear from Abigail Crockett, who experienced her own crisis of faith. Her story of deliverance will encourage you, especially if you find yourself in a hard place today.
