Lessons from Purim

April 7, 2019

April 7, 2019 • Sam Rohrer, Gary Dull, Dave Kistler, JB Bernstein

In mid-March, the festival of Purim was celebrated by Jews around the world to commemorate the defeat of Haman’s plot to massacre God’s chosen people as recorded in the book of Esther. Modern day Jews use this time to give gifts to each other, read about the great deliverance, and consume traditional foods. But those Jews who’ve come to know the true Messiah cherish this celebration even more, as it parallels the gospel story.

This program will share some lessons from this incredible narrative and apply it to our lives. Who are the Haman’s, Mordecai’s and Esther’s of our own times-both spiritually and physically? What meaning can a book written thousands of years ago have for us living in the twenty first century?

If you’re a believer, and you’ve never heard the story of Purim told from a Jewish perspective, you'll want to listen to this recorded program.
