As the apostle Paul addressed the struggles he faced, he taught in Acts 20:24, “I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Paul was changed from darkness to light and was willing to share his faith with others. Transcript: Do you know that loving God and selflessly loving others means loving what God says He loves? But, what does God love? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. In John 3:16, it says that God loves each person in the world. That means you and me and every person ever born or will be born. He loved so much that He willingly sent Jesus Christ to die for the sins of humankind. Since God so loved the world, have you acknowledged His love, embraced Jesus Christ as God’s love and only Way to eternal life? If so, do you love others as God does and at least sharing this good news of God’s love with others? If not, why not? Remember, you can’t share what you don’t have. The type of self-sacrificing love that’s demonstrated by God Himself who loved the world so much He sent His only Son -Jesus Christ – to die for our sins as a perfect sacrifice – demonstrating that God is truly the standard setter for true love. Loving God and others with this kind of love is only possible after personally experiencing God’s love by trusting in Jesus Christ. Can you truly love God? The 5th biblical principle defending marriage is God’s declaration in Ephesians 5 that physical marriage between one man and one woman is holy and pictures the spiritual relationship between Christ and the Church. God’s plan of Redemption through Jesus Christ to the Church is the picture of true love and unity between God and man and why all efforts to redefine God’s design is a direct attack on God Himself, His Plan of Redemption, and Jesus Christ.
