Adult Education Series: Mental Health Matters
Topic: Kids These Days - Teens Technology and Mental Health
Presenter: J.C. Fowler, Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries
Week 2
For years technology and social media have been frequent topics of conversation regarding young people. Yet, responses have been diverse: we celebrate it, abhor it, or even just ignore it. It is true that while phone and social media use has increased, mental health has decreased, but is the story that simple? The faith and flourishing of the children and youth entrusted to our care demands that we get both bold and wise as we navigate the digital landscape. Whether you are a parent, youth worker, or anyone who cares about the next generation, join us as we look to the Scriptures and wade into the murky waters of our modern day for the sake of our “kids these days”.
