We tend to think that God will love us if we can just be good enough. This way of thinking is at the core of religion; The idea that if you follow all the rules and do good enough works, you can earn the favor and acceptance of God. But, as Pastor Terry will point out in today’s message, Jesus turned that idea on its head. He died on the cross for us while we were still sinners. He loved us before we were saved, and He did all the work necessary to bring us into a right relationship with God.
