The Bible associates light with the ability to see. But it goes beyond seeing, for truly seeing requires understanding. Jesus is the Light of the world in that He brings understanding concerning spiritual things and in so doing he provides us light by which we are able to see in the midst of a world that is submerged in spiritual darkness.

It may seem like Jesus had just showed up on the scene during the time of the gospels but nothing could be more further than the truth. Jesus has always been on the scene though he may have had another name.

Because Jesus is the only way to salvation and the only way out of trouble, the antidote to a troubled heart is trust in Him. As Jesus dwells in us as the Father dwells in Jesus we will begin to do the same work that Jesus did; mainly, reveal the Father.
