Pastor Andraé Crouch, often called "The Father of Modern Gospel Music" is a singer, songwriter, producer, arranger, musician, former New Christ Memorial Church Senior Pastor and a soul winner for Jesus, whose music helped shape the sound of modern worship. Did you know Andraé earned 7 Grammy Awards and 20 nominations? This is a legacy that helped carry gospel music into the mainstream while keeping Jesus at the forefront. From “My Tribute (To God Be the Glory)” to “Soon and Very Soon,” “Through It All,” and “The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power,” his songs became the soundtrack of faith for believers all around the world. As an innovator, he blended gospel with contemporary sounds and helped lay the foundation for what many now call praise and worship. Inducted into the Gospel Music Association’s Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1998, Andraé’s influence still reaches across genres, cultures, and generations.
