Emmanuel - God with us! God’s desire is that we would be with Him! This Sunday we will look at how Jesus is “introduced” by John - and how He introduced Himself. We will take a deep dive look into the identity of Jesus as both sheep and shepherd. This is an exciting look at the humility, meekness, and authority of the Good Shepherd, Jesus! Very excited to open up and take a look at these passages and the life and purpose of our Savior. This Sunday we got to see how the Lamb and Sacrifice lives to be Shepherd and King! Emmanuel – God with us!

Sunday we have a very special guest and long time friend with us at Grace – Leandro Tarrataca from Brazil! Please welcome our missionary partner to Grace as he will be sharing from God’s Word on the name of our Savior – Emmanuel. Leandro and Julie are more than missionary ambassadors of Grace – they are good friends. The Making a Difference Coffee shop ministry supports the many children of Mogi das Cruzes who hear the Gospel and grow in faith – they would lack this blessing without the tireless labors of Leandro and Julie at the Church Camp there. Leandro hosts a Bible Institute training scores of men and women who are dispersed across the thousands of miles of Brazil – preaching and teaching the Word of God – planting Churches and making disciples. Denis and Erika came to us from this ministry and we are blessed to have them with us. We are honored to share this ministry with Leandro & Julie and host them as they travel about the Midwest greeting their supporters. God With Us

Nothing in fiction is so fantastic as this truth of the Incarnation.” J.I. Packer Sunday we will continue with our theme for this Christmas - Emmanuel. For God to be present we might only think of Creation - the same way many acknowledge ‘of course there is a God’ - but is He here? Emmanuel goes way past the existence of God to the very personal presence of God. Christmas is not just the admission that He was here - like graffti on a wall or carving in a tree - He was here and He is still here!The coming of Jesus is the greatest miracle since the Creation of the Universe. The attendance of God with us is miraculous and monumental! Sunday we will take a look at the unusual circumstances of His coming and the very odd collection of witnesses who came to see Him. God with Joseph, God with you, God with us

Since the Old Testament times, the promise of the “Emmanuel – God with us" has brought comfort and hope to all the people who put their trust in God. In Matthew chapter one, we see the birth of Jesus from Joseph's perspective and how challenging it was for him when he found that Mary was pregnant. This Sunday, we will explore his tough experience and how he found peace in the announcement of Emmanuel – God with us.
