The resurrection of Jesus Christ changes everything, especially when it comes to witnessing to our One! In this Resurrection Sunday message and part 5 of our series "Who's Your One?", we take a look at each of the four gospel accounts of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and see how they offer unique promises and results in our lives and in how we can minister to our One. In Matthew's gospel, we see how the resurrection resists and challenges the status quos of our society and our lives. In Mark's gospel, we see how the resurrection reveals God's power. In Luke's gospel, we see how the resurrection reminds us of God's truth. And lastly, in John's gospel, we see how the resurrection offers us renewed purpose in life.

Who's Your One?, Pt. 4

March 24, 2024 • Pastor Jeremy Dente • John 12:20–26

In part 4 of our series, we examine the shift in the narrative in John's gospel when a group of Greeks are requesting to see Jesus in John 12:20-26. Jesus's response offers us three directives in what to do with our own lives and how we can minister to our One. We are to lead people to the cross while dying to ourselves daily. We are to offer others purpose in life while seeking to serve like Jesus. And we are to paint a picture for other of what it looks like to follow Jesus with all our hearts and minds.

Who's Your One?, Pt. 3

March 17, 2024 • Pastor Jeremy Dente • John 4:1–42, Isaiah 12:3

In part 3 of our series, we visit the famous story of John 4 involving the Samaritan woman at the well with whom Jesus would have a life-changing conversation for her, and her whole town. This woman is an unlikely story of conversion, like all of us, and all who would come to Christ. In this message, we're able to connect personally with the woman, realizing that we're all products of providence, we are all unworthy of God's grace and forgiveness, we are all in desperate need of the living water of Jesus Christ, we're all laborers in the field working for the harvest, and we all have a testimony to share with others and wet their appetites for a relationship with Jesus.

Who's Your One?, Pt. 2

March 10, 2024 • Derek Hogg • Mark 2:1–12, 1 Corinthians 3:6

In part 2 of our series, we take a look at the famous story in Mark 2 of the paralytic who was lowered into a home by some friends so that he could receive healing from Jesus. From this message, we learn that evangelism and bringing the lost into a relationship with Jesus is most often a group effort through the partnership and cooperation of many people. As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 3:6, some people plant the seed through the sharing of the gospel, while others will be responsible for watering that seed through encouragement and on-going relationship. But through it all, it is God who brings the increase of faith and salvation. Therefore, throughout our efforts to help bring others to Jesus, one at a time, let us not forget that we are able to accomplish far more together than apart, all for the glory of God!

Who's Your One?, Pt. 1

March 3, 2024 • Pastor Jeremy Dente • Mark 1:14–20, Matthew 6:33, Philippians 3:7–9

In part of our series, Who's Your One?, we consider how Jesus began his earthly ministry - by calling four individual men to leave their lives of familiarity and tradition and to be willing to be transformed into disciples who would effectively change the world. All four men - Peter, Andrew, James, and John - had one primary purpose - to continue in the footsteps of their families as local fishermen. However, after being by Jesus, they would be transformed into fishers of men. No longer were they solely focused on fishing for food, but fishing for souls. This would become the core of the Great Commission and the overall mission of the Church, in which those who follow Christ realize that real fulfillment is found in following in the footsteps of Jesus to share the gospel with others and invite them into a new life with God.
