Who's Your One?, Pt. 2

It's a Group Effort

March 10, 2024 • Derek Hogg • Mark 2:1–12, 1 Corinthians 3:6

In part 2 of our series, we take a look at the famous story in Mark 2 of the paralytic who was lowered into a home by some friends so that he could receive healing from Jesus. From this message, we learn that evangelism and bringing the lost into a relationship with Jesus is most often a group effort through the partnership and cooperation of many people. As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 3:6, some people plant the seed through the sharing of the gospel, while others will be responsible for watering that seed through encouragement and on-going relationship. But through it all, it is God who brings the increase of faith and salvation.

Therefore, throughout our efforts to help bring others to Jesus, one at a time, let us not forget that we are able to accomplish far more together than apart, all for the glory of God!

March 24, 2024 • Pastor Jeremy Dente • John 12:20–26

In part 4 of our series, we examine the shift in the narrative in John's gospel when a group of Greeks are requesting to see Jesus in John 12:20-26. Jesus's response offers us three directives in what to do with our own lives and how we can minister to our One. We are to lead people to the cross while dying to ourselves daily. We are to offer others purpose in life while seeking to serve like Jesus. And we are to paint a picture for other of what it looks like to follow Jesus with all our hearts and minds.
