Paul makes the case that unity is the result when the body of Christ recognizes the encouragement, comfort, love, fellowship, affection and sympathy present within the church. But in order to experience such unity, humility must be present within every relationship amongst fellow believers. And this humility is expressed by serving one another and thinking of others before self.

Paul concludes his letter to the Philippians with some final greetings, especially from those of Caesar's household.
