Zoom EAL is designed for mothers who want to practice speaking English at the beginner level but are unable to attend an English class in person at Church of the Rock. This is an English conversation class where you can practice speaking English while learning about community resources for you and your family. This is not a grammar class. You are eligible to participate in this free English class if you are a newcomer to Canada, you are a mother (you have children), and you are do not have transportation to get to an in-person English class at Church of the Rock. You do not need to be a Christian to participate. Newcomers who are of another religious background, or no religious background are welcome! All you need to participate is a computer. Sign-up required. Any children attending Kidz Rock will also need to be registered with Kidz Rock.
Sunday mornings : 9:20 - 10:45 AM at Winnipeg South, 1397 Buffalo Place What is Alpha ESOL? * Alpha ESOL is designed for people who do not speak English as their first language. * Alpha ESOL will help to answer questions about life and faith and many more in a relaxed, friendly, non-threatening environment. * You will also have the opportunity to practice listening to, speaking and reading English. * Each week we will have a speaker, and times of discussion led by a host. * You can feel free to respond honestly in the discussion and share what you think and feel about what you have heard. * Participants are encouraged to ask tough questions with no fear of feeling judged or pressured.
