The Sacred Space of Prayer
February 19, 2023 • Luke Edgerton • Matthew 6:5–13
There was a time when we treated certain things as sacred things. But in a world dedicated to moral and ethical decay, it seems like there is just nothing sacred anymore.
However, all throughout scripture, God preserves a remnant, and uses them to re-introduce sacred measures into a secular world void of the Holy Spirit. By God's grace, and the power of the Gospel, these sacred things can become tools for evangelism and discipleship.
We are convinced that the Holy Spirit loves to dwell in the sacred places and spaces that He deems as sacred. By the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can create these spaces. Join us throughout January and February as we unpack seven sacred spaces to God. Because when we make what is sacred to God, sacred to us, we experience his favor.
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
