This week, we launch a new message series we're calling “Kingdom Culture”. For seven weeks we’ll examine the major themes in the book of 1 Corinthians and strive to embody the practices the Apostle Paul implores the Christians there to live.
Corinth was a major Roman city, the center for trade. Corinth could have been to Greece what New York City is to the USA. A center for economic trade and a birthplace of culture.
That's the very culture that the Church in Corinth would succumb to. In its waywardness, Paul writes them a letter to help them become a culture all of their own. One that is so attractive that the lost are drawn to it. And one that is so strong it had the potential to influence the very city it called home.
