Freedom can be defined as - “liberty and autonomy in the sense of giving oneself one's own laws.”

Essentially - freedom means self-authority. But what if that isn’t the best way to live? What if we aren’t the best authority for ourselves? What if the restraints that God put in place are actually for our benefit?

In this message, we continue our look into 1 Corinthians and how to build a Kingdom Culture.

What we need to remember is that in the Kingdom of God, we are not the King or Queen. God is.

In this message we continue our journey through 1 Corinthians as we take a look at what it means to be a body of believers ~ in other words, what it means to be a collective of Christ followers all working toward the same goal. Though we are different parts, different people, we are all one body, we are one blood, we are one mission.

Building a Culture of Communion

Why did Jesus take bread and wine and relate them to his broken body and spilled blood that He would suffer upon the cross? Was there a deeper meaning? Was there greater implication and importance to the otherwise arbitrary objects of bread and wine? The continuing rite of communion is more than the elements used to celebrate it. It is a Christian's Thanksgiving meal - a reflection and meditation on Christ’s sacrifice that invites us into a more intimate state with Jesus to recall what is so easy to forget. Communion includes, and also transcends, one's individual meeting with the Lord. It encompasses the whole body of believers and calls us to celebrate together that Christ died for his bride, the Church. 1 Corinthians https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dckyn0dirpk&t=684s-26 And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for your; do this in remembrance of me."
