River City (Rio) Kids serves kiddos as young as 6 months old through 5th grade when we send them to their next ministry, River City Youth! Through engaging activities, age-appropriate Bible lessons, and caring mentors, we aim to help your children grow spiritually and discover God’s love for them. Whether your little ones are taking their first steps or in their elementary years, we have exciting programs designed to meet them right where they are on their faith journey. If you are interested in learning more about this next step or want to be baptized, we invite you to attend the next baptism class -APRIL 12th at 9:00 am, in Portable 3B. Our Baptism will be on Sunday, APRIL 26th at 5 pm in the courtyard. The very heart of being a Christian is modeling our life after Christ, as we see Him in the Bible. The Bible Teaches that all believers should be water baptized (Matthew 28:19-20), and Jesus showed us the way by being baptized himself (Matthew 3:13-17). While baptism is an important step of obedience, it is also the place to publicly demonstrate your faith in Christ to your friends, family, and Church, who will celebrate this life-changing decision with you.
If you are new to River City or want to find out more, join us for this once a month Meet-N-Greet with a class. Offered the first Sunday of each month (most months), it is designed to get you started on your journey to real life here at River City. *Meet at 10:30 am in the cabana in the courtyard to your left - look for the Discover banner. Enjoy coffee and pastries as you get to know some of our pastors and ministry leaders. From there, we will walk over to the Discover Class.

Currently, we have four opportunities to serve: LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE - SCHERTZ Saturday, April 18 Time: 8:00am - 12:00pm A faith-based non-profit serving the Schertz, Cibolo, Selma, and Garden Ridge areas. Their mission is to show the love of Jesus Christ by meeting practical needs in our community—providing home repairs, maintenance, and assistance to widows, the elderly, disabled individuals, veterans, and those experiencing poverty. By partnering with churches like ours and other volunteers, LWYL Schertz connects people to serve as the hands and feet of Christ right here, where we live. If available please bring weed trimmers, branch cutters, mowers, chain saws, square nose shovels, brooms, blowers, trash bags, trailers, wheelbarrows, hammers, and saws. Be sure to bring water, gloves, rubber boots, work boots, and wear long pants for the neighborhood cleanup. Volunteers Needed: 30 max. Baby Dedication is Mother’s Day, May 10th Baby Dedication is a ceremony celebrating the decision parents make to raise their child to know God through salvation in Jesus. Parents attend a class to walk through what this means for the family and our church. Baby Dedication ceremony will occur on Sunday, May 10th at the 9:00am and 11:00 services. The Baby Dedication class will be held on Sunday, April 26th during the 11am service (childcare available) and again on Monday, April 27th at 6:30pm. We ask all parents to attend one of these options prior to Baby Dedication, even if you've dedicated another child.
