Join us for our River City Serves Saturday every 3rd Saturday. Currently, we have four opportunities to serve:


LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE - SCHERTZ

Saturday, April 18

Time: 8:00am - 12:00pm

A faith-based non-profit serving the Schertz, Cibolo, Selma, and Garden Ridge areas. Their mission is to show the love of Jesus Christ by meeting practical needs in our community—providing home repairs, maintenance, and assistance to widows, the elderly, disabled individuals, veterans, and those experiencing poverty. By partnering with churches like ours and other volunteers, LWYL Schertz connects people to serve as the hands and feet of Christ right here, where we live.

Age minimum: Children are welcome with parent/adult

REAL LIFE CHRISTIAN ASSISTANCE

River City Community Church – 16765 Lookout Road, Selma, TX, 78154

Meet at Concession 2 Building, behind the amphitheater

Time: 8:30 am – 10:30 am

Project: Organize clothing and assemble groceries packages for families in need, minister to people by praying in a supportive environment.

Volunteers Needed: No Max. Age Minimum:

Children 8 years and up are welcome with a parent/adult

THE GLEN NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH

7000 Glen Mist Drive, San Antonio, TX, 78239

Time: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm

Project: Cooking and serving a meal for the community, neighborhood cleanup and repairs, and distribute food and clothing. If available please bring weed trimmers, branch cutters, mowers, chain saws, square nose shovels, brooms, blowers, trash bags, trailers, wheelbarrows, hammers, and saws. Be sure to bring water, gloves, rubber boots, work boots, and wear long pants for the neighborhood cleanup.

Volunteers Needed: 30 max.

Age Minimum: Children welcome with a parent/adult

MATS MATTER

River City Community Church – 16765 Lookout Road, Selma, TX, 78154

Meet in the main foyer of the sanctuary

Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 noon

Project: Crochet clean plastic bags into mats that are distributed to the homeless. Please bring a size P crochet hook. Don’t know how to do it? We’ll show you!

Volunteers Needed: 30 max.

Age Minimum: Children 8 and up with adult supervision are welcome!
