Who We Are We are Zach & Charis Ifland, Executive Directors of Surfing The Nations (STN) Huntington Beach. STN is an award winning 501(c) humanitarian non-profit in locations such as Hawaii, Sweden, Sri Lanka and our newest location Hunting ton Beach, CA.
We've been making a difference in the world since 1997.
STN impacts our communities through training programs, selfless service, and action sports. We combo adventure with this generations passions to make a difference, and partner it with their desire to be in a safe intentional community!

Wisdom and an opportunity to get our 2 of our 3 young kids into a stellar homeschooling program that aligns with Godly values and great curriculum and is affordable. Continued health during this pandemic so we can continue to serve our community increased monthly financial partners as we have a goal to buy a home or small tri-plex so we can really make a long term impact

STN Huntington Beach (HB)
4 to 5 new STN Housing tenants for the remainder of 2020 to effectively pay our housing rent a very large, strategic, and vibrant plan for our base lo cation to help all other STN bases in branding and operational strategy. Almost like a franchise model. wisdom in future steps to launch more training pro grams in 2021 for STN HB. financial provisions for my staff a variety of large anchor donors as well as the proper equipment to launch STN HB's first business ( a surfers coffee shop) in summer 2021 health (mental emotional and spiritual) for my staff as they serve while we continue to pioneer STN HB a successful first ever staff conference/retreat for STN HB in September to do things never done in our city, county and state.

American Christian Academy

ACA principal & school pioneer, James Kang, is a missionary sent out by his church in Chicago 30 years ago. He also planted a church in So Korea & 9 churches in the Philippines. Amerasian Christian Academy (ACA) was founded in 1999 to meet the holistic needs (intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual) of the multicultural and migrant children in Korea, where most of them are from socio- economically disadvantaged. Through our holistic educational programs, our goal is to help our students to be- come loving citizens of a culturally diverse society. Through our various educational programs, our missionary teachers share God’s love and His plans to all the students at ACA. Prayer Request 1. Please pray that God will give each of our missionary teachers strength and wisdom as we prepare for the up- coming school year in September. 2. Please pray that students will have a safe summer break, especially students in poor living conditions. 3. Pray for students who have participated in this year’s Revival and that those who have decided to follow Jesus can walk with the Lord with firm faith. 4. For five North Korean refugee students... that they will walk closely with God. 5. For renewal and refreshment for the teachers so that they will return in the fall with renewed energy, passion, and enthusiasm. **

CEF Hawaii

Rev. Matt Walton (Ordained Southern Baptist Minister) Director Child Evangelism Fellowship Ma'ema e Elementary School RN With more than twenty years of minis try experience, Matt is passionate about inspiring, equipping and empowering students and adults to effectively share the Gospel with every child in Hawaii. Matt accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of eight years old in a small country church in rural NC. His home church continues to play a vital role in his ongoing service to the Lord. Starting as early as high school, Matt began to serve and help teach in children and youth ministry. Later, he earned a Masters of Christian Education from Campbell University Divinity School. Matt served in youth and children's ministry for about fifteen years in his home state of NC before God called him and his wife Stacey to serve with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Hawaii. Matt currently serves as the state director for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Hawaii. Stacey and Matt made Hawaii their home in 2012 and have enjoyed seeing God begin to reestablish CEF as the most effective children's ministry outreach in Hawaii. When they arrived, God gave them a clear vision for the ministry and work of CEF here in the islands. That vision was and is that every child on every island can hear the Gospel by the age of twelve. Their mission is to inspire, train and equip students and adults to effectively share the Gospel with the children of Hawaii. Together, Matt & Stacey look forward to the day when every island has a vibrant and healthy CEF presence. Until then, they are looking forward to many more years of serving along-side churches and individuals with the same passion for reaching children with the Gospel. CEF Hawaii Vision Statement: Our vision is that every child on every island can hear the Gospel by the age of twelve. Since 1937 CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP PRAYER REQUESTS... Ministry Please pray for opportunities to continue in person ministry during the COVID 19 pandemic. • Please pray for new church partners to join CEF in reaching children at local public elementary schools. Please pray for new contacts on Maui, Kauai, Lanai and the Big Island so CEF can continue to expand across the state. Please pray for continued financial support of the ministry so we can develop missionaries here in Hawaii to serve and lead CEF now and in the future. Personal Please pray for Stacey Walton's health as she remains on the mainland for surgery on her right foot. The recovery for this surgery will be between two to three months. She will need to remain in NC for until healed enough to travel back to Hawaii. Please pray for wisdom for Matt as he seeks to be obedient to the Lord and bold in reaching children with the Gospel even during these uncertain times. Please pray for Matt & Stacey's daughter and son-in-law, that they would both be brought back into a right relation ship with Christ through whatever means God chooses. **

Europe

“Nystroms On A Mission”, Learning from Tom Bauer the founder of Surfing the Nations our family motto is: “to hear God, obey God and let him deal with the consequences” Vision statement: “Multiplying communities of disciples” Matthew 4:18-19 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. Using the tool called Discovery Bible Study (DBS) we started planting simple churches among refugees in Greece back in 2018. It has now become a growing Pan-European network of churches/ bible study groups as the refugees have moved on to other parts of Europe. In this new season for our ministry we are now responsible to train and support the groups in the northern parts of Eu- rope as we have partners continuing the work in Greece out of Thessaloniki and Athens. * PRAYER REQUESTS: • Find good Farsi/Arabic/Kurdish translators/coworkers to form a team in Sweden that can travel with us in Europe. • Continued growth and development in the existing groups. • Pray especially for the groups that have started to form inside of Iran as they are risking severe persecution. • Some of our translators in Greece have not yet been granted asylum, they are key people for the continued development of our work. Pray for favor with the Greek authorities. **
