Oahu Street Missions

Brother Sam Curtis

Brother Sam Curtis
Street Evangelist, Oahu, Hawaii

My parents first came to Hawaii as missionaries in 1945. I was born pre-mature with Cerebral Palsy and raised in Wahiawa, Hawaii. I attended Leilehua high school, class of '74.
I then spent four years doing radio advertising and sales. Also nine years in automotive retailing. Then, 27 1/2 years as a Christian retailer, owner of Showers Of Blessings Christian bookstore in Mililani, which closed in December 2016. Working in the bookstore gave me the perfect opportunity for personal evangelism.

Vision Statement:
As you and I both know, we do not know how much time we have left to do whatever God has called us to do. I try to make sure that everyone who wants, has the opportunity to receive Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. It could be at a mall, going to a hospital, just
sitting at a Starbucks or wheeling the streets of Honolulu, Mililani, Pearl Ridge, Kailua, or Kaneohe always looking for an opportunity to share the gospel.

Mission statement:
To declare His praise in the islands wherever I go. Every morning when I spend time with the Lord I ask him to show me what He wants me to do and where I am to go and to help create ministry opportunities whatever that may be.

PRAYER REQUESTS...
That I and my wife Donna, stay safe. I can do all things that God puts before me, using the correct words to say to each person I come in contact with. All those that I come in contact with will produce great fruit to advance His kingdom. Wisdom in all that I say at all times, even when things come up that truly stump me.
