Accepting others requires that we know them. God knows us thoroughly because nothing is hidden from His sight, yet He still chooses to love us. Accepting someone doesn't mean we always agree with them or condone sinful behavior. We choose to love them and sometimes the most loving thing to do is to address areas of sin in their lives.

Persecution can happen in a number of ways because we are living is a world that is increasingly hostile to the gospel. Bringing comfort to others can mean binding up physical wounds but also emotional wounds as well. Listening to people's stories and praying alongside of people is a great way to bring the Lord's comfort to them.

Even in the healthiest churches, there will be times when people hurt us. As people who have been forgiven much, we are called to forgive others. Withholding forgiveness harms ourselves and hurts our relationship with the Lord.

An aspect of being part of a healthy body of Christ is when people are well versed in the Scriptures and able to teach others from it. This isn't just the formal teaching that comes through the preaching ministry but includes other forums like Community Groups, Sunday School, conferences, and youth groups. The teaching also includes harder topics that address and challenge people how to live godly lives and warnings against living according to the flesh.
