Rahab is listed among the other heroes of the faith as she chose to hide the men who came to spy out the land for the Israelites. It's notable that she is referred to as Rahab the prostitute. While this was not her identity, it reinforces and reminds us that even though she had a checkered past, she could still exercise faith and not allow that past to define her. Her faith gives all of us who have regrets from our past because God's grace is offered to all who trust Him in faith.
