The Bible teaches that man by nature is "dead in trespasses and sins" (Ephesians 2:1). In other words, he is empty of that divine element which makes him alive to God. This fact can be true of any man or woman, regardless of education, cultural or even religious practices. God's answer to this basic deficiency is... Christ in you! This Sunday, as we continue our study in Colossians, we will look at what it means for Christ to live in us.

Never underestimate the power of your speech. A judge says a few words, and a man's life is saved or condemned. A doctor speaks a few words, and a patient either rejoices ecstatically or gives up in despair. Whether the communication is oral or written, there is great power in words. The power of speech is a gift of God, and it must be used the way God meant it to be used. The tongue has the power to direct, the power to destroy, the power to delight. The tongue is but a little member in our bodies, but it can accomplish great things for good or for bad. This Sunday we will finish our study in Colossians by looking at four important ministries of speech. Don't miss this life changing truth.
