The Power of a Lie Is in Your Agreement With It

March 3, 2024

Listen in as our guest speaker, evangelist Jamey Ragle, gives us insight into how the devil is the father of all lies and how he will use these lies to manipulate our thinking. Jesus tells us that He is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life". No one comes to the Father except through Him. Believe and trust in the Truth that Jesus is.

Our Hope Is in the Lord

November 26, 2023 • Randall Snipes/Dorian Lopez

Hope is the expectancy of happiness and the optimism of good ahead. The problem is that hope is only as strong as what it is anchored to. Hebrews 6:19 tells us that our hope must be anchored to Jesus. Apart from Jesus, life is a series of hopeless events. God, however, has given believers two promises that should give us hope today. As a believer in Him, our sins are forgiven and our future is secure! These two things may not cure the temporary pain or depression but they are the substance of ongoing hope.

Humbly Grateful or Grumbly Hateful

November 19, 2023

As we approach and prepare for the holiday of gratitude, we are reminded in Scripture of many people who got this wrong. This is most prevalent in the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt, into the wilderness, on their journey to the promised land. The Israelites constantly complained and grumbled whenever they got the least bit uncomfortable. Gratitude is to show that a kindness received is valued. So what have you received that God expects you to be grateful for? When we choose the attitude of gratitude, it is better for us, it is pleasing to God, and it has a positive impact on those around us. If we choose complaining, life becomes a wilderness. Be intentional on choosing thankfulness and gratitude today.

The Lord, He Is One

November 12, 2023 • Randall Snipes • Exodus 20:3

Idolatry is a very prevalent thing that we see in the Old Testament. However, idolatry is just as prevalent, if not more, in today's world. The "idols" have changed over time but the problem still persists. God told us in Exodus 20 that we "shall have no other gods before Him" and, unfortunately, we fail at this quite often. We love ourselves and the world around us to the point that we are willing to ignore or set aside out commitment to love God with all of our being. We are called to put God as number 1 in our lives so take time today to renew your commitment to God and love Him with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength.
