When it comes to the Bible there is no shortage of opinions. Many claim that it's full of contradictions, that it's historically inaccurate and that it can't be trusted because we don't have any originals. They say that the Bible is just an invention of a bunch of people who wrote what they wanted and who stamped God's name on it to further their own desires and plans. For many these are just a few of the reasons why you can't trust the Bible. We think those questions and claims are worth talking about and that's what we will be addressing today at Main Street Church as we continue our series "The Good Book." What’s the best book you ever read? What made it a good book? What caused you to recommend it to others? The reasons will be many. For some it was the plot for others it was the information. Some like a book for the action or the romance or the suspense. There are a lot of reasons that people give to describe a good book. But what about the GOOD BOOK itself? That’s how many people describe the Holy Bible? They say it’s good but often don’t know why or what’s good about it. That’s the question we are going to answer during this series.
