Be Grateful For What You Got

December 19, 2021 • Ben Stuckey • Philippians 4:10–20

Paul rejoiced at the gift he received from the Philippians, but he told them he didn’t need that gift. He learned true contentment wasn’t in materials, or places, or people, true contentment is in Jesus. During the Christmas Season, we don’t want to miss the ability to have true contentment in Jesus, and not in the “Holiday Bustle.”

Best Gift Ever

December 12, 2021 • Ben Stuckey • Philippians 3:1–11

“Rejoice in the Lord" This can sound like traditional Christmas things we do not like to do- eat a certain food (Fruitcake), Hallmark Movies, Christmas Music, going to a certain family member's house… But when you take it away, you realize how much you appreciated that tradition. We do not want disciples of Jesus to ever be without a Spirit of rejoicing at Christmas. After all, He is the “Reason for the Season”

Home Alone

December 5, 2021 • Ben Stuckey • Philippians 2:12–18

Loneliness can be one of the hardest things we battle as people. We are meant to be in community with others, especially in the Body of Christ. In this passage, Paul reminds the Philippians that while he isn’t there to teach them how to grow in the Lord, They are not alone! God works with them, to help prepare them for His good purpose.

No Home For The Holidays

November 28, 2021 • Ben Stuckey • Philippians 1:12–20

“Home for the Holidays,” is often one of those comfort traditions we aspire for during the Holidays. However, the past 2 years have often redefined “Home,” for many of us. Just like we say, “a house is not a home,” and “home is where the heart is,” those comfort statements don’t always bring Joy. Joy is what we want in the holidays, and we can have that when we understand the difference between Rejoicing in Jesus, and celebrating Christmas. Paul does a great job teaching us this lifestyle as we learn from Him how he rejoices in jail, and not at home.
