No Home For The Holidays

Series Opener

November 28, 2021 • Ben Stuckey • Philippians 1:12–20

“Home for the Holidays,” is often one of those comfort traditions we aspire for during the Holidays. However, the past 2 years have often redefined “Home,” for many of us. Just like we say, “a house is not a home,” and “home is where the heart is,” those comfort statements don’t always bring Joy. Joy is what we want in the holidays, and we can have that when we understand the difference between Rejoicing in Jesus, and celebrating Christmas.

Paul does a great job teaching us this lifestyle as we learn from Him how he rejoices in jail, and not at home.

Be Grateful For What You Got

December 19, 2021 • Ben Stuckey • Philippians 4:10–20

Paul rejoiced at the gift he received from the Philippians, but he told them he didn’t need that gift. He learned true contentment wasn’t in materials, or places, or people, true contentment is in Jesus. During the Christmas Season, we don’t want to miss the ability to have true contentment in Jesus, and not in the “Holiday Bustle.”
