When God laid out the design for the tabernacle, he had already prepared the artisans with the gifts and materials necessary. In the Church, the Holy Spirit provides what we need and we can celebrate our gifts and use them to glorify God.

Prepared in the Desert

The leader of this exodus journey was called and prepared, when he felt he was the least qualified. Our qualification for becoming the people God will use is never dependent upon our qualities, but on what God can do through us.

Prepared through Hardship

The promise of a journey was met with the harshness of added labor with fewer resources. When Moses turns to God, his response is “now you shall see what I will do.” God promises us hardship, but that it is for a purpose. When we allow God to be present in our struggles, we can shall see what he will do.

Prepared with Passover

At the moment the journey begins in earnest, God instructs the sojourners in a simple, yet celebratory feast. Times of celebration and anticipation prepare us for the process of becoming and transformation.
