March 12, 2017 • Bryan D. Edwards

What does the Bible say it looks like to be a woman? how about a wife? In a world filled with blurred lines (in the areas of roles and expectations), God’s Word remains clear. When corruptible beauty is being promoted by fashion magazines and reality stars, you can find tremendous wisdom in the Bible. The Word is clear about a woman’s true beauty and value. This teaching will share timeless truths on that true beauty (as well as the influence a woman can have on her marriage, family, and this world). We will also look at the remarkably high standard husbands have been called to in marriage. In the good times and the bad, there is tremendous hope found in God’s Word.

June 11, 2017 • Bill Young

Have you ever had a book or movie “spoiled" because someone shared the ending with you? This can be very frustrating. Or, it can be a relief, depending on your personality. As we conclude our study of 1 & 2 Peter, Peter reveals details of how our world will end. Rather than being a “spoiler" this is, in fact, a really good thing to know! Understanding that nothing in the universe is permanent (and that the earth is not our real home) should help keep us from ungodly living. The fact that Jesus is coming back (and heaven awaits the righteous) should bring us joy. It should also cause us to live holy lives. We’ll look at four characteristics of the Christian who really believes that the end of the world is near.

We will look at some evidence for the flood and the truth this teaches us as Christians.

In this message, we will glean from Peter’s concern for the Church and observe four warning signs that will help us avoid false teachers and stay on the path of righteousness.
