We need to understand that if we belong to Jesus then we are of those people who say sorry if we have done something wrong. God is not looking for good people, but for godly people. Psalm 32:5. 1 John 1:9. God has given us a way out. There is immense power and freedom in saying sorry. The devil doesn't want us to confess our sins because it sets us free.

Self denial

Mark 8:34, Acts 9:15–16, Galatians 2:20

Pure love is all about self denial. Mark 8:34. The cross represents death and self denial. Paul the apostle along with many others, suffered greatly and went through so much for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Acts 9:15-16. Becoming a Christian does not mean that your problems will go away, in fact be prepared to pay a price. Galatians 2:20. Our biggest enemy is self.

The fool

Psalm 53:1. The fool has said in his heart that there is no God. Genesis 1:27. God created man in His own image. Who are we going to choose to believe? John 1:1. The Bible is Jesus in print. We either believe in it from cover to cover or we don't believe it at all, we can't just believe the parts we want to. Colossians 1:27. A person's spirit never dies. Where are we going to spend our eternity. John 14:6.

The orphan spirit

John 14:18, John 3:3, Romans 3:23, 2 Corinthians 5:17

There are many young men and woman in our world today who don't have a good father figure in their lives, a mentor. John 14:18. John 3:3. Uncle Angus talks about the orphan spirit. Romans 3:23. Because of sin, we have all become orphans, but when we are born again, we become new people in Christ. The old is passed away, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
