Self denial

Pure love is all about self denial. Mark 8:34. The cross represents death and self denial. Paul the apostle along with many others, suffered greatly and went through so much for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Acts 9:15-16. Becoming a Christian does not mean that your problems will go away, in fact be prepared to pay a price. Galatians 2:20. Our biggest enemy is self.

My Refuge

What road are you on at the moment? The one that leads to eternal life, that's steep, rocky and slippery? Or are you on the broad road that goes to the wrong place? John 14:6. Psalm 46:1. God is our Refuge and our strength, if He is on our side then what do we have to be fearful of? Romans 8:31. If you have Jesus, then you have the majority. 

The Name

Acts 3:16, 1 John 4:14

There is value in a name. It means a lot to call a person by their own name. We all love the sound of our own names. There is one name that is above all names, the name of our beloved Saviour, and that is the name of Jesus Christ! Acts 3:16. 1 John 4:14. What are we doing with that name today?

Confession

James 5:15–16

There is power in personal confession. James 5:15-16. If we confess our sins in the presence of others, there are witnesses, and an anointing and power comes over our lives. As they stand in agreement with our prayer, before Almighty God, we can be healed.
