My Story, Your Story, Our Story

October 22, 2023

Zootown Church Board Member and Groups Coordinator Sarah Harrington shares her story and her vision for groups at Zootown Church. She shares how the goal of Zootown Groups is to find a place of belonging for anyone who wants to experience healing and wholeness that comes through healthy relational connection with themselves, others, and with God.

Christ the Solid Rock

August 27, 2023 • Pete Walde

Christ and Him crucified, according to Paul, forms the basis for our knowledge of God and of all things. Jesus is the foundation upon which everything is built and the center around which everything revolves. All other ground is sinking sand.

Insecurity of Freedom

July 2, 2023 • Pete Walde

Redemption, being set free from bondage, is a very important theme throughout the Scriptures. It is derived from the Exodus event and reinterpreted by the coming of Christ, his death, and resurrection. Freedom is not only being brought out of Egypt but also being led through the wilderness.

Be a Joseph

June 18, 2023 • Scott Klaudt

Who would you consider to be the description of a good man? A good father? Moses, David, Elijah? However, do we ever think of Joseph, the father of Jesus? Why not? He must have been pretty special if he was chosen to be the father of God's son, so why don’t we look to him? This week we do.

Blue Check Christianity

May 21, 2023 • Scott Klaudt

In this one-off sermon, Scott talks about a scary passage that was meant for our freedom. We are all trained in society to be someone to fit in or succeed. Often that comes with trying to be someone we’re not. Jesus wants the real us, the designed us, not the mask we are told to wear.

Desert Moms

May 14, 2023 • Scott Klaudt

Every mother loves her kids and wants the best for them. However, sometimes that comes at the cost of other kids and family unity. Sarah and Hagar are classic examples of this; they both loved God and both loved their kids, but they were a divided family. This week we look at their story, which is all of our story, and we see God as the great unifier of the human story.

Jesus on the Way

May 7, 2023 • Bryce Dick

Over and over in scripture, Jesus met people on the way.  In these interactions, He always took time to join His Father where He was working. Now He invites us to shift our focus and join Him where He is at work around us.

Water to Wine: Inner Party

March 19, 2023 • Scott Klaudt

In a one-off sermon, Pastor Scott looks at Jesus’ first miracle. In a new season of Zootown, we’re beginning to look at the spiritual meaning of things, not just the outer. Moral of this story is: Have we been settling for the cheap wine?

Future Zoo

November 20, 2022 • Scott Klaudt

In a one-off sermon, Pastor Scott gives a vision for not just the culture of Zootown Church, but the function of the building of Zootown Church. The leadership team has been discussing, praying, and thinking about the direction for three years, and we finally have a good handle on where we feel the Lord is leading us. We would love for you to join!

Church According to Baseball

August 28, 2022 • Scott Klaudt

In this one-off sermon, Pastor Scott combines his love for the gospel and his love for baseball. In baseball, the home run hitter is king, but it’s the little things that set up the home run hitter for what he’s gonna do. Church is the same way; there are certain gifts that we glorify, but the apostle Paul tells us we are to glorify the weaker gifts so the whole team wins.

Mother Mary

May 8, 2022 • Scott Klaudt

On this Mother’s Day we talk about the lovable yet controversial Mother Mary. Should we pray to Jesus’ mom? Is that idolatry? Are those the right questions? Pastor Scott tries to breakdown some walls while showing why we should honor the Mother of God, who through Jesus, is the mother of us all.
