1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Prayer
God our shepherd,
Thank you for providing. Thank you for guiding. And thank you for restoring.
As we walk through valleys, may we help each other through. May we listen to your voice above all others. Help us to see your goodness in the midst of our chaos.
Amen
The Prayers of Moses

17 And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”
18 Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”
19 And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”
21 Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”
Prayer
Father,
Thank you for the promise of your presence. I’m so grateful that when I seek you, you will be found. Holy Spirit, soften my heart, open my eyes and my ears. Speak, I want to listen. Show me your glory and pour out Your Presence!
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
Prayer of the Broken, Lost & Powerless

Key Scripture

9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and
looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two
men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other
a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God,
I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers,
adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week
and give a tenth of all I get.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even
look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy
on me, a sinner.’
14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home
justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be
humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
Prayer
Father,
Thank you for rescuing me in my darkest hour, when I wanted
control but had none. When I wanted to be seen but needed to be
hidden and found only by you. You alone were able to put me
back together as a new creation, better than I ever could have
imagined and what you have done for me, I know it is your desire
to do for everyone.
Thank you Jesus, for I am found and made whole in you.
In the powerful name of Jesus I pray, Amen!

1 As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?
My tears have been my food
day and night,
while people say to me all day long,
“Where is your God?”

36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”
39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”
PRAYER
Father,
This world can be painful, grueling, frustrating, and often disappointing. There are times when I feel like I just can’t take one more step, one more challenge. I cry out to you Jesus – Why?
Help me to remember that this difficult, sin filled world is not my home. You are my home. Your Kingdom is my home. Give me courage to live through the challenges this world brings, and fill my heart with the hope of your Kingdom come.
In Jesus’ holy name, Amen!
The Lord's Prayer
February 18, 2024 • Pastor Jason Miller • Matthew 6:5–13
KEY SCRIPTURE
https://www.bible.com/bible/111/mat.6.5-13
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “
‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
PRAYER
Father,
You know what I need before we even ask. Thank you for intimately knowing my heart, mind and soul, and loving me.
Lord, even though you know my needs, I bow humbly before you and ask you to help me, guide me and mold me into the person You created me to be.
In Jesus’ holy name, Amen
