Part 2, Week 5

Share Like it Matters

February 4, 2024 • Pastor Jason Miller • 1 Corinthians 9:19–23

KEY SCRIPTURE

1 Corinthians 9:19-23 (The Message)

Even though I am free of the demands and expectations of everyone, I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach a wide range of people: religious, nonreligious, meticulous moralists, loose-living immoralists, the defeated, the demoralized—whoever. I didn’t take on their way of life. I kept my bearings in Christ—but I entered their world and tried to experience things from their point of view. I’ve become just about every sort of servant there is in my attempts to lead those I meet into a God-saved life. I did all this because of the Message. I didn’t just want to talk about it; I wanted to be in on it!

PRAYER

Father,

Do what you need to do in me so that you can do what you need to do through me.

Holy Spirit, help me to become more like my King - King Jesus!

Where there is fear, help me trust; where there is anger, help me to forgive; where there is doubt, help my unbelief. Let Your word find a home in my heart.

In Jesus’ name, Amen

Part 2, Week 6

February 11, 2024 • Pastor Jason Miller • Ephesians 2:19–22, Romans 12:3–8

KEY SCRIPTURE https://www.bible.com/bible/111/eph.2.19-22 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. https://www.bible.com/bible/111/rom.12.3-8 3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. PRAYER Father, I praise you because you are faithful even when I am not. Holy Spirit, speak to me this morning, I want to listen. Thank you for my church family. Help me to love my church like you do! Just as I am not perfect, neither is your church. Where I need to show grace, help me. Where I need to forgive, help me. Where I need to step up, help me. Holy Spirit, help us to be a church set apart for Jesus! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Part 2, Week 4

January 28, 2024 • Megan Dennis • Matthew 11:28–30

KEY SCRIPTURE https://www.bible.com/bible/111/mat.11.28-30 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” PRAYER Jesus, I know life can be tiresome. Does life have to be this hard? Teach me to rest like you did. Bring a refreshing wave of rest upon me. Holy Spirit, search me and know me. Bring restoration to my life. Part 2, Week 3

January 21, 2024 • Jennifer Colby • 1 Thessalonians 1

KEY SCRIPTURE https://www.bible.com/bible/111/1th.1.1-10 1Paul, Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you. 2 We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. 3 We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, 5 because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. 6 You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. 7 And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. 8 The Lord’s message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, 9 for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath. PRAYER Father God, We praise you. Your unfailing love is priceless, and we delight in you. For in you is life and light. Your ways are good, and your words are true. Open our eyes so that we may see more of you. Increase our faith, and stir us to respond to you in obediences and love. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
