Go

April 25, 2021 • Jay Scott • Matthew 28:11–20

Which story do you believe? A. Jesus' disciples snuck past Roman guards, rolled back the stone (by themselves) in the middle of the night and stole his body... all while the guards were asleep (thus creating the greatest lie ever told) B. Jesus was killed and sealed in a tomb for three days, then defeated death, rose and appeared to multiple people (thus proving he was who he claimed to be) Doubt is a normal part of human nature, but it is always grounded in a lack of faith. Even the disciples, who witnessed Jesus with their own eyes, struggled with doubt. However, at some point, we have to make a decision about Jesus. If you believe that Jesus is who he claimed to be, why hesitate in going all in and trusting him with your life?

Doubting Thomas

April 18, 2021 • Austin Seevers • John 20:24–31

When Thomas encountered Jesus for the first time after the crucifixion, his entire world changed. Doubt was immediately replaced by joy as he realized who Jesus truly was -- "My Lord and my God!" Most of us can relate to Thomas when it comes to how we view Jesus. We start out questioning who (and what) he is, only to find ourselves at a place where we can no longer rationalize him away. If that sounds like you, how do you respond to the risen Jesus?

Mary Magdalene

April 11, 2021 • Jay Scott • John 20:11–18

The gift Jesus gave Mary Magdalene was to free her from seven tormenting demons, restoring her completely. From that point on, she believed who he claimed to be and followed him. She was at the crucifixion the day he died and the first to see the empty tomb. She was also the first to see and speak with the resurrected Jesus. Jesus offers all of us a similar gift -- the gift to free us from sin through forgiveness and grace. Are you ready to accept that gift?

Good Friday Service

Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:13-14).
