Giving

Three things happened when Jesus walked into Jericho:
1. Zacchaeus became curious about Jesus.
2. Jesus didn't stay in a holy huddle.
3. Zacchaeus changed his ways.
Love gives. As Jesus followers, we must realize that the habit of giving begins in the heart. And we must be mindful to always give our first-fruits by making a determined commitment to give a certain amount and serve in a particular way.
Worship is our expression of gratitude towards God despite our circumstances.
When we worship during difficult times – people notice.
When we worship when there is nothing left – God notices.
When we worship in the unknown – God provides.
The Power of Four: People who engage with the Bible at least four days a week have the most drastic life change.
To succeed in developing a habit of regular scripture reading, you must address two things:
1. I need to have an honest evaluation of my spiritual commitment.
"Your actions reveal how badly you want something. If you keep saying something is a priority but you never act on it, then you don’t really want it. It’s time to have an honest conversation with yourself. Your actions reveal your true motivations." -- James Clear, Atomic Habits
2. I need to make the necessary adjustments so the process is enjoyable and successful.
“Ultimately, it is your commitment to the process that will determine your progress.” -- James Clear, Atomic Habits

The first habit we must work on is our reflectiveness.
"My effectiveness is directly related to my reflectiveness."
