As we enter into a personal relationship with Jesus, we come to discover that he is far more concerned with the condition of our heart than anything else. What is the condition of your heart? Everything we do flows from it!

Jesus Walks on Water

July 30, 2023 • Jay Scott • Mark 6:45–56

In Mark 6:46 we read, "...he went up on a mountainside to pray." Jesus sent his followers ahead of him so he could have some alone time to pray. How often do you get alone time with God to pray? Your effectiveness as a Christian is directly related to your reflectiveness, and the more time we spend reflecting on God, the less time we think about ourselves (and our temptations). The way of Jesus is not self-promoting, it's Christ-promoting.
