The most crucial question in the Bible, and our very lives, is the same question that Jesus asked his followers in Mark 8:29, "Who do you say I am?"
Peter answered that question, but have you? Do you believe in Jesus? Do you trust him?

Clean & Unclean
August 6, 2023 • Jay Scott • Mark 7:1–23, Matthew 6:21

Jesus Walks on Water

In Mark 6:46 we read, "...he went up on a mountainside to pray." Jesus sent his followers ahead of him so he could have some alone time to pray.
How often do you get alone time with God to pray? Your effectiveness as a Christian is directly related to your reflectiveness, and the more time we spend reflecting on God, the less time we think about ourselves (and our temptations).
The way of Jesus is not self-promoting, it's Christ-promoting.
