More from Son of David

Why Nazareth?

December 27, 2020 • Jay Scott • Matthew 2:19–23

It matters where we come from. Where Jesus came from was important to his story just as it is important in our story. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, took a detour to Egypt and raised in the tiny town of Nazareth. He was born in a manger, raised as a craftsman, led as a Rabbi, crucified like a criminal, resurrected as a victor and ascended as King of Kings and Lord of Lords -- he is Jesus of Nazareth!

Why Joseph?

December 20, 2020 • Jay Scott • Matthew 1:18–25, Matthew 2:13–23

Why did God choose Joseph? Joseph listened. Joseph was humble. Joseph was obedient. Joseph was faithful.

Why Mary?

December 13, 2020 • Austin Seevers • Luke 1:26–38

Mary did not let fear keep her from being faithful. Mary stood faithful, even to the very end!
