Elizabeth Long received Christ as her Savior and filled with the Holy Spirit at age 5. She began as an ordained minister in 1997. With her husband, Rick Long, she co-founded Not of This World Ministries, Inc., which focused on outreach food ministries with Golden Angels, Inc., and prison and jail ministry. Due to her husband passing in 2011, she later dissolved the corporation.

In the past 43 years, she has served as a Sunday School teacher at every age level, VBS Director/teacher; Youth Leader/Pastor and co-pastored with her husband, Rick, before becoming pastor in 2016 at The House of Prayer, Mineral Bluff.

Currently, she is actively involved in the Children’s Ministry; WHCN media team; and is the teacher of the Adult Bible Study class, “Christ Revealed” every Friday evening. She is the proud mother of her two sons, Bart and Jonathan; and grandmother to Christian and Ella; and the great mam-maw to Luna; and “mom” to her daughter-in-law Sheena. Her life is centered around her love for God and her family.

Happy 23rd Anniversary, WHCN! WHCN will be celebrating our 23rd anniversary on July 28, 2024. What began in a few trailers and a big vision has become a miraculous reality. The Lord has shown His favor to this church fellowship and ministry since its inception. Throughout the history of this church fellowship, God has opened doors that seemed impossible in the beginning of it. Our commitment to God and our faith in His Word has allowed the Lord to fulfill many of His promises that He has made to this vision. WHCN is housed in a building that spans 16,200 sq. ft., and has a capacity for 350 seats. We have never been small in our vision for ministry, nor in our faith in God to perform the supernatural. WHCN has provided humanitarian relief to various places that have been devastated by natural disasters. We packed a 53' trailer with food, water, and necessities for the victims of Katrina that struck New Orleans in 2005. We have sent thousands of shoeboxes filled with needed items for children all over the world through our partnership with Franklin Graham and Operation Christmas Child Shoebox ministry. Besides our Missions' ministry that has supported Christians schools and orphanages in various nations, we have declared the "Good News" to the nations of the world through our internet and television ministries. Time doesn't permit me to share of all the mighty miracles that God has given to this body and ministry over the past 23 years. However, God is the very One who receives all of the glory, honor, and praise for His great acts of love. I want to thank all of the attendees and members who have stood with us over the past 23 years, and supported this ministry. Your support will be remembered in heaven. There will be people that you will meet in heaven that will be there, in part, because of your prayers and support. All that we have gone through and all that we have grown through as a church family and ministry has been preparing us for all that God is about to unveil in the earth. Ladies, make plans to attend a special WHCN Women’s Meeting on April 25, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Our speaker for the evening will be Mrs. Robin Bertram from Fuquay-Varina, N.C. Robin will share her testimony about her recent brush with death. She will also share the word of the Lord of how you can triumph over impossible situations through the power of our God. Your faith will be energized as you hear of all that God has done on Robin’s behalf during a recent medical emergency. The Lord made His presence known to Robin and her family through every situation that they faced together. Robin has experienced several miracles in recent months that attest to God’s power and faithfulness. She is coming with great expectation of seeing God move in miraculous ways for those in attendance. Make plans now and come expecting God to move on your behalf.
