Even though Jesus was God in the flesh, he still desired to spend time with his father. Rising early in the morning he went to spend time in prayer. When the disciples try to get him to return to Capernaum, Jesus remains committed to his father’s mission and moves on to the next town to preach the gospel. Recognizing our weaknesses, how much more do we need that time alone with our heavenly father?
