In Esther 1-2, we see the Silent Sovereignty of God play out as the saga begins inside of the Persian kingdom, and a young orphan Jewess finds herself made Queen of Persia. We can be reminded that God is active in the ordinary.

God's sovereignty is without question. He will do what he plans to do (Isaiah 55:8-9). It's our privilege and priority to participate in God's sovereign plan regardless of the cost.

We learn through Esther's story that every circumstance in our lives is either directed or allowed by a Sovereign God to place us where we are and where he wants us to be for such a time as this to accomplish His plan and purpose.
