In this series we’re going to learn and train ourselves to offer the gift of listening. Listening is a gift that sparks intimacy, discovery, and an awareness of God’s presence. In an age where the church has to earn the right to be heard, there is no better to do that than to listen first.

As Christians, we can spend so much time figuring out what we need to say to others, we can overlook the importance of learning how to listen to others. Yet it is through our listening, not our speaking, that people will come to know they are loved, valued, and accepted by us. Let’s learn how to follow Jesus as he models a life will with listening widely, deeply, and closely.
