Was Joseph Smith a Prophet or a Fraud?

QUESTION FOR MORMONS: Was Joseph Smith a Prophet or a Fraud? The Bible warns that in the last days, false prophets would arise and deceive many people. How can we tell a true prophet from the false prophet? The Bible gives us the answer in Deuteronomy 18:20-22 "But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him." Not only did Joseph Smith lie and deceive his followers with so-called divine revelations that turned out to be false, he taught Mormons to believe in a false god, one who was once a "man like us" who had a father god before him. This is completely different from the God of the Bible who declares: "Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me." (Isaiah 43:10) According to the Biblical test of a prophet, which category should we place Joseph Smith in - True Prophet of God, or a Fraud? Who will you trust - Joseph Smith or Jesus? The Bible warns that those who are led by false leaders will be "destroyed" (Isaiah 9:6).
