Midweek Manna is back on Wednesday evening this spring on April, 2, 9, and 16. We will share a meal at 5:15 pm (optional) then at 6:00 pm our educational offerings will be delving into the topic of Prayer.
A pop-up style Art and Prayer opportunity with rotating art forms will also be offered at the same time each week taught in room 105 by Kim and Michelle.
On April 16, Michelle and Kim will make the labyrinth available in room 105 so that participants can experience walking a labyrinth is a meditative practice that involves walking a single path from the outside to the center of a labyrinth. It's a spiritual exercise that's used to calm the mind, reduce stress, and improve creativity. Praying a labyrinth helps us realize that we are not human beings on a spiritual path, we are spiritual beings on a human path. Labyrinths are uni-directional path, you can walk the same path to and from the center. There are no dead ends or tricks to get lost in. You can walk at your own pace. Some say it can help you feel more connected to yourself and others. It can help you feel more creative and in the present moment. It can help you release negative patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior. It can help you feel more spiritually aligned. And there are various ways you can walk a labyrinth. You can reflect on scripture or a sacred text or You can repeat a mantra or prayer or You can intercede for yourself, others, or the world. Also, you can journal about your experience or you can draw or doodle about your experience or you can share your thoughts with others in a grou.
For Children, a similar offering on Praising God with Art and Prayer will be offered upstairs for children. This class will be taught Heather Selement and Brianna Holt. Nursery will be provided during the 6:00 class times. Our Youth will be engaging in a variety of service activities, fellowship, and games.
Please register if you plan on joining us for dinner!
